My fourth favourite web site also known as my favourite educational site is Encarta encyclopedia online. Encarta has been a popular encyclopedia for computers from a long time. They make one of the best encyclopedias out of all the other ones. Encarta is manufactured by Microsoft and they also have a cheaper and an updated version of it for on the internet. http://encarta.msn.com isn’t as good as the one available on CD’s but it is good enough for school projects or other assignments handed out by most of the teachers in elementary school, high school, and even colleges.

I have been using Encarta from since 1997 and it makes assignments really easy for students. The web version of Encarta is a learning center which includes a dictionary, an atlas, and an encyclopedia with only 42 000 articles. The site isn’t totally free it gives only the dictionary and the atlas. For the encyclopedia you have to possess a copy of Encarta 2003 and be a member of MSN learning center plus. It isn’t the best online encyclopedia on the internet but it includes 42 000 highly detailed articles with almost the latest information available. I couldn’t do it on any other online encyclopedia sites such as enclyclopedia.com because almost all of my classmates chose that and I wanted something different. Encarta used to be free before and it had almost all the information available on the CD-ROM (except the pictures were only available as thumbnails).

The learning center is the best if you are a  member of it, but without being a member, it still offers many resources for students such as notes and what you should know on a SAT skill test. I believe that it is worth it to bookmark this page if you will or have Encarta 2003 purchased. Or else, you can benefit the offer of a free online dictionary and atlas. It saves time by just typing it and getting the result in your face then looking for something on a map or a dictionary.
